Your profile at /account/profile shows how much you’ve written, how consistently you’ve shown up, and what you’ve been writing about — all drawn from your actual documents in Dear.

What you’ll see

Word count and streak badges

Two badges appear at the top of your profile:
  • Words — your total human-written word count, tracked on this device. This counts only words you typed; words added by accepted AI completions are excluded.
  • Streak — consecutive days with document activity, shown with a flame icon. If you haven’t written today yet, the streak is measured from yesterday forward.

Writing activity chart

The chart shows human-written words per day over the last 30 days, split by themes. Dear groups your documents into up to three AI-generated theme categories based on their content, then plots daily word counts by theme as separate lines. Below the chart, an active days count tells you how many days in that 30-day window you wrote anything.
The activity chart reflects words written on this device. If you write across multiple browsers or devices, each keeps its own count.

Recent writing

The Recent writing section lists your last four documents with their titles and when they were last updated. Click any document to open it in Write.

Sharing your profile

Click Share in the top bar to copy a link to your public profile. The link uses the format /account/profile/:userId. When someone visits your public profile, they see:
  • Your publicly shared documents and their combined word count
  • A writing activity chart showing words in those documents by theme and last-updated day (last 30 days)
  • Active days for that 30-day window
To make a document visible on your public profile, open it in Write and use the Share button in the top toolbar to enable public access.

Requirements

Stats and recent documents require you to be signed in with cloud sync enabled. Without it, the profile displays a notice and word counts are tracked locally only.
