As you write and save documents in Dear, it reads your corpus and builds a personal language bank: a record of the vocabulary, recurring phrases, and transition patterns that appear in your writing. When AI completions are enabled and Use language bank is on, Dear passes a hint from this bank to the AI so suggestions lean toward your style rather than a generic default.Documentation Index

Three tabs
The language bank dialog has three tabs:- Words
- Phrases
- Transitions
Individual words from your saved writing, with common stopwords (articles, prepositions, pronouns, and similar glue words) filtered out. Only words two or more characters long are included. Results are sorted alphabetically.
Strength labels
Each entry has a strength label based on how often it appears relative to the rest of your bank:| Label | Meaning |

| Strong | Appears frequently — in roughly the top 20% of your usage |
| Reliable | Appears regularly |
| Learning | Appears occasionally |
| New | Seen only once or very rarely |
Filtering and search
Inside the dialog you can filter by strength level and search by text. The footer shows how many entries are currently visible and how many total are in the bank.Viewing the language bank
The language bank is accessible from AI preferences in the user menu. In the Track my writing voice section, you will see a summary count in the format N words · N phrases · N transitions. Click View word bank, View phrase bank, or View transitions bank to open the language bank.The language bank is built from your saved documents. It updates when documents are loaded. If your bank is empty, save a document in Write first.
